The great retrospective of the English artist Anish Kapoor on display in Venice. The exhibition will be open to visitors in the headquarters of the Accademia Galleries Every Saturday until September 2022.

Anish Kapoor’s work transcends the present and the material. Anish Kapoor’s main
passion is mirrors, red and black colors. He likes to create something that will look wholly unreal
or, on the contrary, reflect a person as he is.
Speaking of some of the installations at Gallerie dell’Accademia, one of the most famous
is “Shooting in the Corner.” The cannon was invented in 2008 and shoots 11-kilogram wax
bullets. This installation looks very impressive. However, after talking with some visitors, people
saw the installation as a war and others as a struggle with themselves. They say for the reason
that everyone sees in art what bothers them at the moment. It is the same with the art of Anish
Kapoor; when you get into the environment of his works, the feeling of his art is different.

Of course, the famous Anish Kapoor works are made of the blackest material in the
world. Vantablack, as this material is officially called, absorbs more than 99.8% of visible light.
This makes installations made of this material really look fantastic. When you enter the hall
where the facilities are located, you may initially not understand the idea behind them, as they
are just absolutely black figures. However, when you approach the installation from the side, you
can understand the whole point.
It is also worth mentioning that the second part of the exhibition is located in the Palazzo
Manfrin, about a 25-minute walk from the Gallerie dell’Accademia di Venezia. The exhibition
itself runs until October 09, 2022.
After visiting the Anish Kapoor exhibition, it is worth paying attention to the museum
itself, as it is beautiful and many other works by different artists and sculptors. The museum
opened in 1817, so it has a lot to show visitors. Some parts of the museum are under the
restoration because the building was damaged during World War II. Workers are trying to restore
the beauty of the museum.
